Come home to yourself. Find your sanctuary.

““When you join me for an intuitive reading, we begin making our session a sacred space with energy centering, allowing the day’s noise to settle into silence. Through careful consultation, I understand the questions living in your heart – both spoken and unspoken. As the cards reveal their wisdom, we explore their messages together, letting insights land softly and take root. Before our time closes, we ground these revelations into practical steps, ensuring the magic of our session flows into your daily life.””

What are the different holistic modalities, and where do they come from?

Tarot
Tarot cards originated in 15th century Europe as playing cards before evolving into divinatory tools during the 18th century occult revival. The 78-card system features archetypal imagery that reflects universal human experiences and subconscious patterns, allowing readers to access intuitive wisdom. Modern tarot practice has expanded beyond fortune-telling into psychological exploration, spiritual growth, and creative problem-solving.

Astrology

Astrology's roots extend back to ancient Mesopotamia, where celestial movements were correlated with earthly events, eventually developing into sophisticated systems across Egyptian, Greek, Indian, and Chinese civilizations. This ancient practice maps the positions of celestial bodies at the time of birth to reveal personality traits, life patterns, and potential evolution. Astrology continues to thrive as a symbolic language that helps people understand themselves and navigate earthly transitions.

Human Design
This contemporary modality, originating in 1992, combines elements from astrology, the I Ching, Kabbalah, the Hindu chakra system, and quantum physics to create individualized "body graphs" that map genetic and energetic traits. Human Design categorizes people into five types—Manifestors, Generators, Manifesting Generators, Projectors, and Reflectors—each with specific energy patterns and decision-making strategies for authentic living.

Reiki
Reiki was developed in 1922 by Japanese Buddhist Mikao Usui following a 21-day meditation retreat on Mount Kurama where he experienced a spiritual awakening. This energy healing practice involves practitioners placing their hands lightly on or above the recipient's body to facilitate the flow of universal life force energy (ki/qi). This promotes physical, emotional, and spiritual growth. Reiki spread to the Western world in the late 1930s and has since been integrated into complementary care in numerous medical settings.

Sound Bathing

Sound bathing draws from ancient healing traditions across Tibetan, Aboriginal, Greek, and Egyptian cultures where instruments and voice were used for ceremonial and therapeutic purposes. This immersive sound experience uses resonant instruments such as singing bowls, gongs, chimes, and drums to create harmonic frequencies that induce deep relaxation. Modern sound therapy combines traditional wisdom with contemporary understanding of vibration, frequency, and neuroacoustics to reduce stress, transmute stagnant energy, improve sleep, and support overall wellbeing.

Yoga

While Western practice often emphasizes physical fitness, yoga's comprehensive approach addresses mind-body-spirit integration, promoting holistic health and self-realization. Yoga originated in Northern India over 5,000 years ago, first mentioned in ancient sacred texts called the Rig Veda and later systematized by Patanjali in the Yoga Sutras around 400 CE. Beyond physical postures (asanas), traditional yoga encompasses ethical guidelines (yamas and niyamas), breath control (pranayama), sensory withdrawal (pratyahara), concentration (dharana), meditation (dhyana), and spiritual union (samadhi).

Journey into the self…..

Wildfire Wellness retreats all begin with the phrase ““INTO THE””

Our retreats are intuitively led sanctuaries that create space to go ““INTO”” the self. Each retreat is focused on a different theme - often rooted in exploring nature or the raw feminine within us.

These immersive offerings are open to all expressions seeking to explore their own intuitive nature and innermost self.
